The National Service-Learning Conference, first held in 1989 to serve as "the largest gathering of youths and practitioners from the service-learning movement." The conference is a program of the National Youth Leadership Council, and is hosted annually by partner organizations in the state or region where it is being held. In the past it has been sponsored by the State Farm Companies Foundation, Youth Service America, the Corporation for National and Community Service, and the Shinnyo-en Foundation.

The conference is unique in that it typically has about a third or more youth attendees. As well, each conference features more than 200 workshops and sessions, ranging from featured forums with experts in the field to on- and off-site service projects.
